Valdosta, Ga. - The VSU soccer team made history on Tuesday after landing a spot in the top 25 of the NSCAA Coaches Poll for the first time since the launch of the program in 2011, as released by the NCAA this week.
The announcement comes on the heels of a strong opening weekend for Valdosta State in which they defeated Florida Southern 1-0 in the season opener on Friday night, followed by a convincing 3-0 victory over the Panthers of Florida Tech on Sunday afternoon.
Valdosta State joins conference rivals and defending National Champions West Florida in the rankings, who remain at the number one slot.
