Valdosta State's Nate Anderson named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholar

VALDOSTA, Ga. - For the second straight year, Valdosta State golfer Nate Anderson has been named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Anderson was one of 57 Division II golfer to earn the honor, which is given to those golfers who have competed at least three years at the collegiate level, participated in 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.2.

Anderson, an Accounting major with a 3.33 grade point average, led Valdosta State with a 74.8 strokes per round average in 2012-13. His score counted in 30.5 of Valdosta State's 32 rounds played during the year and he tallied one top five, two top 10 and five top 20 finishes. He also earned All-GSC honors for the second straight year.
