Valdosta State Ends Two Game Losing Skid with 34-7 Win

Valdosta, GA (WTXL)-- After two straight losses, the VSU football team rallied to pick up its first Gulf South Conference win this season. VSU tops Mississippi College 34-7.   Utilizing two quarterbacks the Blazers offense combined to finish with 450 yards of offense. EJ Hilliard got the offense started with a 74 yard touchdown pass to Gregg Dent in the first quarter to make it 7-0. Freshman Roland Rivers continued the strong offensive performance connecting with Donovan Bolden for an 11 yard touchdown to increase the lead to 14-0.  The rushing attacked combined for 156 yards.   The VSU defense limited Mississippi college to just 199 yards of offense on 12 first downs.   VSU now is (4-2)  and has a short week to prepare to play Shorter in Rome, GA on Thursday.
