VALDOSTA, Ga. - The Valdosta State football team put together a complete effort on Saturday dominating No. 22 West Georgia 40-6. With the win the Blazers improve to 3-2 on the season and 1-2 in Gulf South Conference play.
The visitors drove the field on their first possession to take a 3-0 lead. Then the Black Swarm defense responded by making the Wolves punt on eight consecutive possessions.
The Blazer offense was sharp scoring on eight of their first nine drives of the game and finished with just under 600 yards of total offense.
Valdosta State returns to action next Saturday when it travels to Clinton, Miss. to face Mississippi College at 4:00 p.m. in a Gulf South Conference match-up.
