Valdosta High, North Florida Christian Hire New Head Football Coaches

Posted

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - On Monday afternoon, the Valdosta City School District met with Valdosta High School defensive coordinator Alan Rodemaker, offering him the head coaching position.

Sources confirmed to WTXL on Monday morning that Valwood coach Ashley Henderson and Rodemaker were the finalists for the position. Henderson signed an extension at Valwood shortly after, and Rodemaker accepted the position with the Wildcats Monday night.

Valdosta High wasn't the only program announcing their new head coach on Monday. At North Florida Christian, a familiar face will take over the reins of the Eagles, as defensive coordinator Steve Price will now lead NFC.

Price won two State Championships in Georgia and spent three years at Taylor County before coming to North Florida Christian in 2012.
