GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina senior first baseman Cody Stubbs has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Player of the Week, while Duke's Robert Huber earned ACC Pitcher of the Week honors.

Stubbs went 12-for-24 (.500) at the plate and drove in 12 runs in pacing the top-ranked Tar Heels to a 5-1 week, including an ACC series sweep of Maryland. Stubbs capped off North Carolina's three-game series with Clemson by going 6-for-8 with a run and three RBIs in last Monday's doubleheader before scoring twice and driving in two more runs in a midweek win at UNC Wilmington. The Waynesville, N.C., native extended his hitting streak to seven games during the sweep of the Terrapins as he tallied a hit in each contest and drove in seven runs in the series. Stubbs reached base 16 times during the week and raised his batting average to an ACC-leading .402. Stubbs currently also moved into the ACC lead in RBIs with 42 after driving in 12 on the week.

The ACC Player of the Week honor is the second of the season for Stubbs, who was also cited on March 11.

Huber threw his second complete-game shutout in as many starts, leading Duke to a series-clinching, 3-0 win over No. 15 Georgia Tech on Sunday. Georgia Tech entered the weekend as the nation's leading club in batting average, slugging percentage and home runs per game, but Huber kept the Yellow Jackets off balance, scattering five hits while striking out seven in his third consecutive victory. The Duke right-hander issued one walk, induced 12 fly ball outs and needed just seven pitches to retire the Yellow Jackets in order in the ninth. The Plano, Texas, native also tossed nine scoreless innings in Duke's 6-0 win over Boston College on March 31, which was Duke's first complete game shutout since 2004. Over his past three starts, Huber has pitched 24.0 innings, allowing just 13 hits and one run in that span.

The ACC Pitcher of the Week selection is the second such career honor for Huber, who was also recognized in the opening week of the 2012 season.
