GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - University of Florida basketball player Scottie Wilbekin has been suspended indefinitely from the team.
Team spokesman Denver Parler confirmed Monday that Wilbekin had been suspended for a violation of team rules but wouldn't say specifically what Wilbekin had done.
As a junior this past season, Wilbekin averaged 9.1 points and 5 assists per game. He appeared in 35 games for the Gators, with 29 starts.
Wilbekin was previously suspended for three games in November. The specific reason for that suspension was not disclosed either.
