Within youth baseball, besides Williamsport, Cooperstown is the place to be. The site where baseball began, is the place where youngsters aspire to play.
In a couple weeks time, the Powermill Stingers from Tallahassee, will make that journey, set to compete in a tournament comprised of over 100 teams.
Coached by Jake Whitfield and Mark McElroy, the Stingers hope to succeed. This team has been together for a couple of years, forming at the 10U level. Now the guys have grown on and off the field, and this trip is a dream come true.
Opening day is set for July 15th.
