TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - No Big Bend girls basketball teams won State Championships this year, but two players learned Wednesday they earned Player of the Year honors from the Florida Dairy Farmers.
Lincoln's Erin Turral, who averaged over 34 points per game as a sophomore won in Class 8A. North Florida Christian's Caylan Jones won the honor in Class 3A. Jones averaged over 26 points per game for the Eagles in her senior season.
Both athletes are now in the running for Miss Basketball, given to the State's overall best player.
