VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Friday is a big day for the Valdosta High School football team. They've already won a State title this season, and they are now looking for a Bowl win. The Cats however, aren't the only football team in Valdosta still practicing. The Titletown All-Stars are looking for a World Championship.
It's not just one team, it's three All-Star teams looking to bring home some hardware. The 8U, 10U, and 13U teams, which compete through the Boys and Girls Club of Valdosta, were invited to compete in the Football Championship Series World Championships in Orlando next week.
Winning is in the blood in Titletown. After winning a National title with the All-Stars in 2012, head coach Jarrid Brown said they are hungry for more.
"Being from Titletown, it kind of speaks for itself," he said. "We just had the Valdosta Wildcats win a State Championship. That's number 24 for them. The Lowndes Vikings won four in the early 200's. We won a National as a 10U team in 2012. We just want to put more titles on the shelf."
