TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Community College women's basketball team opened their home slate on Wednesday with a 122-40 win over IMG Academy. The Lady Eagles improved to 5-0 on the season with the win, and are the 7th ranked team in the country according to the NJCAA.
TCC's match-up with IMG was part of their three day Capital Courtyard Classic, a tournament featuring a mix of high school and college teams. Lincoln High took on TPLS Christian out of Virginia, and despite a 36 point performance by freshman Erin Turral, the Trojans fell 51-49.
At Rickards, the Lady Raiders closed out their second and final day of their Tipoff Classic. Rickards took on Florida High Wednesday night, and beat last year's Class 5A State Runnerup 60-36.
Jala Williams nailed a buzzer beater to lead Leon over FAMU DRS 51-49, while Gadsden County handled Godby 38-25 in the opening game of the night.
