TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Godby High School boys basketball team has had an unparalleled run over the past two seasons. Last year, they were undefeated en route to a State Championship. This season, the fell in the Elite Eight.
In those two years, nine athletes have inked college scholarships. The latest three came on Wednesday, as Desean Enzor, Tre Clemons, and JaShon Williams all signed on the dotted line.
"I feel like the coach is going to take care of me a lot," said Enzor, who signed with King University in Tennessee. "It's the best fit for me. To find out that all my hard work paid off at the end of the day."
Williams made things official with ASA College in Miami. "I feel very good. I'm very happy," he said. "It's in Miami and that's where I wanted to go, and I think it'll be a great opportunity for me."
"It was a life long dream," said Clemons, who signed with powerhouse College of Central Florida. "Being a kid, your first dream is to always go to the NBA, but you have to take baby steps, and that was just the first of many for me."
Enzor, Williams, and Clemons join four other Cougars who signed this year.
