THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) - The first official signing period of the year is upon us, where pretty much all athletes but football players can choose to sign over a week long period.

Thomasville's Reggie Perry choosing to sign early, as Wednesday, the 6'9 power forward, who's the 16th overall recruit in the Class of 2018 according to ESPN, inked with Mississippi State.

Perry said he was happy to sign early, now he can focus on his senior season with Thomasville, and he is excited to go from Bulldog to Bulldog.

"It feels great. It's one of those things I've been waiting on since I've been little, working hard every day, just proves that dreams turn into reality," he said. "That's one of the reasons why I cam to Thomasville High, because I knew I'd have support. I'd have my fans, my family, and my coaches always behind me, so that's one of the reasons why I came, so it feels really good."

Perry said he plans on studying sports medicine.
