In Thomasville Friday, high school football standouts from Georgia and Florida hit the field in the annual "War of the Border" match-up. Team Georgia got the upper hand, winning 20-14. The second game of the rivalry is next week in Valdosta.
In Tallahassee, Leon and Lincoln went at it on the hardwood in a big District contest. The two were tied at 48 at the end of regulation, and Trojan Darrion Fluka hit a basket with just fourteen seconds to play in overtime to seal up the 55-54 win for Lincoln.
