TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 6, 2018) – Tallahassee Community College officially opened preseason basketball on Monday. Yesterday, the Eagles tipped off their scrimmage schedule by hosting the annual Southeastern Jamboree.

Seventeen teams from Florida, Alabama and Georgia converged on the Bill Hebrock Eagledome for, arguably, the top two-year jamboree event in the country.

In addition to Tallahassee, the lineup of men's teams included three of the Eagles' four Panhandle Conference rivals – Chipola College, Gulf Coast State College and defending state champion and 2018 national tournament participant Northwest Florida State College – and eight other schools from Florida.

Eastern Florida State College, who finished third in the 2018 national tournament, headlined the remaining Region 8 entries in the jamboree. The Titans were joined by the College of Central Florida, Daytona State College, Florida State College at Jacksonville, Hillsborough Community College, Polk State College, Santa Fe College and St. Petersburg College.

Tallahassee played a total of four games throughout the day and the Eagles will take part in their second scrimmage on Friday, October 12th.
