TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Tallahassee Community College softball team is tops in the state of Florida after the Eagles took over the No. 1 ranking in the FCSAA Coaches Poll this week.
After five straight weeks at No. 2 behind Indian River State College, Tallahassee finally overtook the Pioneers on Tuesday, receiving ten of the 20 possible first-place votes and 187 total points in the voting. Indian River State (eight first-place votes) came in just two points behind the Eagles for No. 2.
Both teams are also in the top five of the NJCAA, which released its final poll last week – Indian River State is No. 1; Tallahassee, No. 5.
