TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (April 9, 2013) - Tallahassee Community College women’s basketball standout Jeraldine Campbell has been named a Third-team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

Campbell, a native of Shuqualak, Miss., transferred to Tallahassee after playing her freshman season at East Mississippi Community College.

The All-America selection is the latest accolade for Campbell, who was previously named First-team All-Panhandle Conference and All-FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8.

Campbell led Tallahassee in scoring at 16.6 points per game and shot a team-best 80.6 percent (75-of-93) from the free throw line. She also averaged 5.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.9 steals in 22 games.

Campbell was even better in league play, averaging 18.7 points per game, highlighted by a school-record 38-point effort at Gulf Coast State College on January 30.

Campbell is only the third Lady Eagle to earn All-America status, joining Tamilla Murray (1999, Honorable Mention) and Shamar Harris (2008, Second-team).

Campbell is one of three Panhandle Conference players and five from Florida (NJCAA Region 8) named to the NJCAA’s All-American teams.
