TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - High school wrestlers in the state of Florida look to win gold this weekend at the State Championships in Kissimmee.

Six wrestlers from Florida High are making the trip, and it's the same six that made the trip for the Seminoles last year. Senior Cam Brown, who wrestles in the 195-pound weight class, is looking to improve off last year's Semifinal appearance- the highest finish ever for a Nole.

Florida High fell short of their goals of winning a District and Regional title, but that's okay. They have a confident group heading to State, and now is the perfect time to turn those final goals into reality.

"I do try to remind them of, hey we had three goals. We didn't get the first one, we didn't get the second one, but we've got one more," said head coach Clay Allen. "One more goal that we can end our season on a high note and finish out with that one and feel good about the entirety of the season."

"This whole entire year I've been talking to my teammates, this is the only thing we've been talking about," said Brown, who won a Regional title. "Every time I get tired in practice, or I think about trying to eat too much food, I'm like no, I have to get to the next part, I have to get to the Finals. I gotta see what it's like. I have to win it all!"

The State Finals begin Friday, and wrap up on Saturday.
