TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) — 2019 is the first year for Tallahassee Soccer Club and the team is already making waves. On Saturday, the Battle Lions defeated Hattiesburg FC to secure a playoff spot.
The game Saturday night was moved from the FSU fields to Gene Cox Stadium due to rain and hundreds of fans still made it out to show support.
Both teams would go into halftime with a 0-0 score. At the beginning of the second half, Tallahassee's Johnny Fitzgerald would score the one and only goal to lift Tallahassee over Hattiesburg.
