TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL — Tallahassee soccer is headed to the playoffs in their inaugural season. That's all thanks to hard work and donations from locals and rapper T-Pain. Tallahassee native, T-Pain, donated the final $1,500 the team needed so they could travel for their first playoff game.
With money in their bank account, the team can focus on Wednesday night. The Battle Lions will watch several Gulf Coast Premier Soccer games to see who they face for round 1 of the postseason.
Chris Petley, the President of Tallahassee Soccer Club explained, "Tomorrow night, all of the Gulf Coast Premier League games will take place except for ours that was canceled. We'll have to just see how it all plays out. We could be anywhere from New Orleans, to Shreveport, to Lafayette. And we could be the Eastern Conference champions or we could come in second place. Tomorrow night is going to be an unbelievable night. We're going to gather together as a team and watch that and pay attention and hopefully we'll be celebrating as your Eastern Conference champions."
The squad will watch the games at Madison Social.
