TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Capital City will have two teams representing north Florida at the Little League State Tournament, beginning Friday in Mims, Fla.

All-Stars from the Chaires 9/10 year old league won a tightly-contested three-game Sectional series with the Niceville Eagles two games to one over Saturday and Sunday. Chaires lost the first game on Saturday, 2-0, but came back to win game two that evening 12-11. That result forced a winner-to-States game three Sunday, where Chaires got an extra-inning 4-3 win to advance.

In the 11/12 year old division, all-stars from Northwest Leon Little League swept Niceville 9-5 and 5-1 Saturday, so they will join the 9/10 Chaires team at States.

Chaires' 10/11 year old all-stars also played Niceville in Sectionals with a spot in States on the line, but Niceville got the sweep to keep their summer baseball season alive.
