TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - It's been a crazy summer, but the Tallahassee-Leon Babe Ruth 15's made it to the pinnacle.
On Tuesday, they'll fly to Washington for the 15 and Under World Series, and in turn, they look to win Tallahassee-Leon's first World Series crown since 2009.
This group is a bunch fighters. They won four straight elimination games at Regionals to reach this point, and head coach Brian Kelley loves where they are as they get ready to head west.
"Everything we did was perfect. I mean you couldn't ask for anything else from any player," he said of their performance at Regionals. "They just played outstanding baseball all the way around and put a lot of pressure on other teams."
"When you know you can lose and you win, and you keep winning, you're like okay, we have a chance now," added outfielder Argene Lynn. "It feels good to go on to the World series with this four game winning streak."
If you want to help send the 15's off to the World Series, they are having a send-off party at the Bass Pro Shops in Tallahassee that starts at 5:30am. It lasts one hour.
