TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Over the weekend, three Tallahassee-Leon Babe Ruth baseball teams won a State Championship, a feat that had never been accomplished in the modern era of the Babe Ruth League in Tallahassee.
The 13, 14, and 15 and under squads are now preparing for an appearance at Regionals, and they're ready to represent the area. The Southeast Regionals kick off next week, but all three squads are wasting no time in getting ready.
For all three to have made it this far, not surprising to the coaches, and the titles prove just that.
"There's always been good baseball in this area," said 13U manager Bruce Williams. "All these guys you are going to be hearing there names as they get older. Some of these 15's already playing in varsity programs, and that's the backbone of why these programs around Tallahassee are real good."
Stay tuned to WTXL for more on all three teams as they continue their journey to the World Series.
