TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) — Over the last two weeks, the Babe Ruth All-Star league has celebrated two State Championships within Tallahassee-Leon Babe Ruth baseball. Both the 13s and the 15s are getting ready for Regionals. The 13s play in Virginia next week, while the 15s will be in Tennessee.
The 15's squad won the World Series last year, but this year's team is completely different. However, the focus remains the same.
Head Coach Bruce Williams explained the team hasn't had all of their players at practice due to summer schedules. He said, " But I think the opportunity for them to go out there and give it all they have and see where it lays, see where it takes us."
15-year-old Kerrick Roberts added, "Tristan and Tyler, they've definitely taken lead in the infield. And Adam and I are outfielders and I know we try to help other outfielders with positioning and different positions while we're in the outfield."
Regionals for the 15's starts next week in Tennessee. If they win, they advance to the World Series in North Dakota.
