TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Last spring, Tallahassee's Dominique Farmer was named MVP of a NBA Pre-Draft training program. Since then, he's been full go at making his dream of playing in the NBA a reality, and seeing it through is exactly what he plans to do.

As 2019 rolls on, Farmer starts play in the Florida Basketball Association - one step closer after a whirlwind year.

"Been to about six different places. Chicago, Atlanta, some NBA staff," he said of his travels since impressing in the Pre-Draft training program. "I was in El Salvador for a little while, playing over there."

Traveling the world, but for Farmer, the FBA and his new team, the Florida Flight, is just a pit stop to where he wants to be.

"It puts you in front of the right people to be seen, and if somebody likes you, you get scouted and you get picked up," he said. "My ultimate goal is the NVA. That what was prophesized to me. That's where I believe the Lord is sending me to. That's what I know. That's my ultimate goal."

An ultimate goal that he's never lost faith in.

"I'm just like anybody else. I have times where I might get discouraged and get a little frustrated," he said. "Everybody wants quick microwave stuff. It doesn't work like that. Sometimes you have to put it in the oven. Sometimes you have to let it marinate! You have to let it sit for a couple days. Knowing that God isn't someone who rushes things, everything happens in it's perfect time."

Perfect timing that is almost out of the oven.
