TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Community College women's basketball team reached their goal of making the National Tournament this year. They fell in their first game, but this group gained a lot of experience from last season, and now they're sharing it.

Hoops U is the annual camp thrown by head coach Q Bedell, and it teaches kids fundamentals of the game. He helped with the first camp four years ago, and took it over the year after. The camp had just seven kids that first year, and now, they're up to close to fifty with many returning year after year.

"I get to meet with new friends and see my old friends from previous years," said James Gollop of why he comes back every summer. "We learn new skills and drills. I've been learning how to create space and better one on one."

"It's been really fun to watch them grow, not only as basketball players, but also grow as young men and women," added Coach Q. "It's been fun and I've enjoyed it and my staff has done a great job of really helping us make this a great camp."

Hoops U wraps up on Friday.
