TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - When it comes to Tallahassee Community College athletics, the Tallahassee women's basketball team is dominating. The ladies are 10-0 on the season, and averaging just under 100 points per game. As of Tuesday morning? They are the number four team in the country.

The Eagles got some live in this week's National rankings, as they moved up from fifth to fourth. The ladies came into this season with high expectations, as they returned several key plays off last year's team that qualified for the National Tournament.

On the flip side? Head coach Q Bedell admits their success is kind of a shock. They do have a ton of freshman on this team. The ladies have three more games before taking a break - but not too much of one.

"We've been telling them, out of the six days, three of those days when they're out they need to think about basketball," said Bedell. "Whether they are conditioning, whether shooting whether getting on the treadmill and doing something towards basketball, but keeping that edge going into January which is the best part of the season."

TCC takes the court Wednesday against ASA College. Tipoff is at noon.
