TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Community College softball team hosted Andrew College on Monday in their final game before Panhandle Conference play begins on Thursday.
The Eagles jumped out to the early 1-0 lead over the Tigers, and didn't score again until the bottom of the fifth. CeCe Smith got everything started with the two run triple, making it three nothing Eagles.
Tallahassee tacked on two more runs in the fifth, and added three in the sixth, thanks in part to a two run inside the park home run by Brooke Marendino to win by run rule 8-0. The ladies took game two of the double header 8-0 as well.
The Tallahassee Community College baseball team opened up Panhandle Conference play with a loss on Saturday to Pensacola State. On Monday, the Eagles traveled to Pensacola to take on the Pirates, and evened out the series with the 9-1 win. The rubber match is Wednesday at 5:00 in Tallahassee.
