TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - This year marks Mike Martin's 40th season, and his last, at the helm of the Florida State baseball program.
His resume speaks for itself. He's the NCAA's all time winningest coach, and he enters the 2019 season 13 wins away from 2000. He has 16 trips to the College World Series under his belt as head coach with two runner up finishes.
WTXL sat down with Eleven as he begins this final season, and when he was hired as head coach in 1980, he said he didn't want to go anywhere, and like a lot of things he says, Eleven has stayed true to his word 40 years later.
