Starting A Revolution: Munroe Day Looks To Impress This Fall

Posted

QUINCY, Fl. (WTXL) - For the Munroe Bobcats, change has come. After just one win in 2017, a move was made and now Joseph Gaddy looks to bring success back to Quincy.

"I truly believe that Munroe can be a sleeping giant," he said as he led morning workouts at the school. "The athletes that are in Gadsden County are plentiful, so the opportunity to come in and be at a school like Munroe, I believe the sky is the limit."

"He brought in a lot of energy with us during some of our workouts, even running with us in practice," exclaimed Julien Harrison. "Everyone on the team seems to be pretty excited, and everybody seems to be more excited than last year and everything."

It's excitement that's only growing, and the guys have bought in.

"When we're working out in there it's just they are ready to get at it," said Michael Starling of the team's willingness to work. "It's not like they are coming in here and sluggish, they have a different personality. They are ready to get at it and go grind."

"Our motto this year is revolution, because in change there is either evolution or revolution," added Gaddy. "Evolution is slow and over time. Revolution is rapid and we're just trying to build wins wherever we can. Little small wins daily, they build up and they really start to add up."

Wins that are needed, as the Bobcats have seen just seven since 2013. Confidence is high and this team believes success is on it's way.

"I just want to see us grow together as a group, and kind of turn this thing around," said Gaddy."I want this group to be the ones that say you know we put Munroe back on the right track. If we make the playoffs that's great, but again our goal is to win daily and in the process, hopefully we can eventually get to that point."

A long process but a group ready to turn this program around.
