Thomas, a freshman guard, came off the bench and scored 15 of his points in the second half and hit one of two free throws with 3.4 seconds left to give the Seminoles (7-4) their final margin.
The 49ers (11-2) trailed by as many as nine points in the second half after leading 40-35 at halftime. They got to within two points twice in the final minute, but Ivan Benkovic was unable to connect on a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
