TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Florida State men's basketball team avoided the first four game losing streak in eight years with a 66-55 win over The Citadel. Freshman Xavier Rathan-Mayes set a new career high with26 points as the Noles were forced to play without starters Aaron Thomas and Devon Bookert.
The Citadel would not make it easy on FSU and closed to within four down the stretch before the Seminoles could pull away for the final margin.
FSU will return to action on Friday night when the Noles host Charleston Southern.
