NEWTON, Mass. (WTXL) - A pair of first-half goals from Cheyna Williams and Berglind Thorvaldsdottir provided the scoring punch, as No. 5 Florida State knocked off Boston College in the ACC opener for both teams, Sunday afternoon.
FSU finished the match with 14 shots as opposed to just four from the Eagles, and none of those four came in the second half.
The Noles (8-1-0, 1-0-0 ACC) complete a perfect road-trip with the win, which joins a 3-2 result from Thursday over Connecticut.
"Going on the road, playing two tough games with UConn and BC, we walk away feeling pretty good about getting two wins," Florida State head coach Mark Krikorian said. "But we have some work in front of us. That was the first ACC game and there's a lot left to play."
The Seminoles return home to face two more ACC teams over the next week, starting with Louisville, Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. and followed by Virginia Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
