TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Florida State football team is starting to hone in on their season opener against Texas State, but football isn't the only sport that's about to get rolling in Tallahassee.
The beauty of Florida State athletics is that there is a lot of good teams to cheer for, and on Thursday night at Dick Howser stadium, athletes, coaches, and fans alike gathered to celebrate the beginning of the athletic season at the 10th Annual Seminole Uprising pep rally, and get hyped for a hopefully successful year.
"Everyone is so excited about the upcoming football season," said Andrew Wilson, who helped organize this year's event. "I think that's different then what was going on a few years ago. FSU football has truly made a comeback. Everyone is really excited for the first game. It's nine days from now, and you can just feel the passion on this campus for the football team and all of our fall sports."
The Florida State soccer team takes the pitch at home Friday night at 7:00.
