TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Florida State baseball team had one incredible season, making it to Omaha for the College World Series. Lot of Seminole fans were pretty happy this season, and a lot of young fans, are excited this week to step on the same field that the real Seminoles played on this season.
Week one of Mike Martin Baseball School is in session this week, and hundreds of campers made the trip to Tallahassee to learn some new skills and some life lessons.
Some of this week's youngsters admit they didn't watch the Noles in Omaha, but they still got a little wide-eyed when talking about head coach Mike Martin and getting to meet some of the players.
"To know that the people have been practicing here where we're practicing, one of the baseball players has been with us this camp," said ten year old Ben Flury.
Brandon Hube has been coming to the camp for the past four years. "This is probably one of the best camps I've ever been to. I learn so much."
"The first day we came here and Mike Martin was talking and it was like he was being funny and it was like a good experience," added twelve year old Jayce Brown.
The first session of camp closes out this week, while an advanced session is held next week.
