TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Florida State kicks off the 2018 season in a little over a month. On Saturday, it was all about potential future Seminoles, as Willie Taggart's first Saturday Night Live event took center stage.
Around 100 recruits, including the top recruit in the country in Kayvon Thibodeaux, were at Saturday's event. Those in attendance got to perform in front of a crowd too, as the event was open to the public, and Seminole fans excited for a chance to catch a glimpse of the future.
"It's great to have new things," said fan Franco Hernandez. "It really brings out the best in the program and it's amazing. It helps out the program and it gets us more hyped, the fans."
"It's really impressive to see the amount of talent and the level he's bringing out," added Jordan Johnson of the impact Coach Taggart has already made on the program. "I think he's really cool he's inviting us to see the process that he's putting in and he wants us to know he's actually getting the recruits to work and we have faith in him."
Several local standouts also took part in the camp, including Madison County's Travis Jay and Zane Herring, as well as Godby's Tarian Lee and Cortez Andrews. Willie Taggart, Jr. and Raymond Woodie III of Florida High also were in attendance.
