On Saturday afternoon, there were a plethora of local high school basketball teams in action.
Over at Rickards, the Raiders are hosting their annual Inspire MLK Classic. The nightcap saw the host Raiders go toe-to-toe with the Maclay Marauders.
The Raiders offense was explosive early, Behind Vincent McCray and Alic Troutman, Rickards led 16-2 after the first quarter. The Raiders would go on to win big 66-48.
The Panthers from St. John Paul II hosted Pensacola Christian in a big district match-up.
Despite giving up an eight point lead early in the 4th quarter, the Panthers rallied and held on to defeat the Warriors 51-47.
The win improves the Panthers to 7-0 in district competition.
