TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Thursday night lights lit up in Tallahassee as the Rickards Raiders welcomed in Wakulla for a 5A District 2 contest at Gene Cox.
The defending Class 5A State Runner-up War Eagles found the endzone first, when Brandon Berry punched it in to start off the second quarter. Wakulla elected to go for two, and converted it to take the 8-0 lead.
Not long after, Rickards tied it up with a touchdown and conversion of their own, and took the lead not long after on a Destin Coates touchdown.
The Raiders held on to that lead, winning 29-21. With a win over Godby October 27th, Rickards will win the District title.
