TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Rickards senior Matthew Dunn will tee off for the second straight year at the Class 2A Golf Finals on Friday. It's a great accomplishment, but it's even bigger because he's the only golfer from Rickards High School to ever claim that feat.

Last year didn't go exactly as Dunn would have liked, but he admitted he was a little nervous playing on the big stage. This year though, he said he's ready to go, and has really honed in on improving his putting game, which he says is the weakness in his game.

Dunn took second at the District Championship this year, and says his mindset heading in to his second go round at State is to avoid the big hazards at the tough Mission Inn and Resort Course in Howey-In-The-Hills, and just play his game.

"It's pretty exciting I guess," he said at practice on Tuesday. "I've been practicing for a long time, so it's nice to know it paid off. I was really nervous last time, it's not as bad this time. I'm still nervous, but it's not that bad."

Dunn has quite a bit of experience at State Finals, he's also gone twice for tennis. He tees off Friday morning at 9:27 am.
