TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Summertime is all about camps. Flag football is a go to for both boys and girls. For the guys, it gives them a chance to hone in on their skills in 7v7 events through out the summer.
Rickards and Godby High School teamed u[ this week for a flag football camp, and the turn-out, and the excitement, has the coaches encouraged about the sport's future.
"We've dodged some weather this week, but gotten out there and Coach Parmer and myself and got out there with them and taught them different things," said Rickards girls flag football coach Ricky Hufty. "They're having a blast. They just love being out here. It's cool seeing kids get out here and play sports at a young age. We have a kid that's five years old, up to another that's 13. Just seeing them all work together and play and enjoy the game, and being outside, it's what we do. It's what we enjoy being out here for."
