GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Freshman Delanie Gourley threw a no-hitter on Friday as Florida opened the NCAA Gainesville Regional with an 8-0 win over Florida A&M.
The Gators offense was paced by home runs in the first inning by Lauren Haeger and Taylor Schwarz in a game that was called after five innings because of the run rule.
FAMU now falls in to the losers bracket and will face Central Florida Saturday in an elimination game. Florida will take on Stetson in the winners bracket.
