SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTXL) - FAMU had never lost to Savannah State, until now. Savannah State snapped a 24-game losing streak beating the Rattlers 37-27 on Saturday Night. It's Savannah State's first win since it defeated Fort Valley State 27-20 on September 14, 2013.
FAMU cut the lead down to three, in the first quarter. Kenny Coleman hit Jairockeis Jones for a touchdown to trim the lead to 10-7. However, the Tigers answered with a 88 yard kick return from Ker-Sean Wilson. Savannah finished the game with 217 rushing yards on the FAMU defense. The Rattlers are now (0-5, 0-2 MEAC).
