TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - "You want to check my cell phone? The texts I've gotten this week? That'll let you know how personal it is!"

Florida A&M head coach Willie Simmons laughed when asked if this weekend's Florida Blue Florida Classic match-up with rival Bethune-Cookman was personal.

It's a game the Rattlers haven't won since 2010, so FAMU heads into this year's Classic with a chip on their shoulders. This game is much more than a rivalry for the Rattlers, as a win gives them that berth in December's Celebration Bowl.

FAMU is also looking to snap a two game skid after starting the year 6-2. So there is a lot on the line this weekend, but Simmons said if they prepare correctly, there is no reason they should be nervous about this game.

"That's our goal this week. Do the things that it takes to be successful," he said. "I asked them that question. Does anybody in the room think that we can miss class this week and still beat Bethune? None of them raised their hand. Does anybody think you can miss weights this week and still beat Bethune? None of them raised their hands. They believe that we have to do everything right. If we do everything right, I think we go into the game with a great mindset and that takes away the anxiety of what might happen when the ball is snapped."

Saturday's match-up with BCU is set for a 2:00 kick at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
