TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida A&M football team is straight off a bye week, but before that, the Rattlers got their first win of the season, a Homecoming beat down over Delaware State.
FAMU now with a new found sense of confidence, and they look to carry it to a win over North Carolina A&T on Saturday. The Aggies are a top notch program, they're ranked in the FCS Top 25, and they sit on top of the MEAC standings.
Head coach Alex Wood said the high from their win over Delaware State didn't last too long, as they have gotten back to business, but he said the bye week was much needed.
"We needed some time off I think to regenerate and get some guys healthy," he said at his Tuesday press conference. "I think it's good. I reminded and talked to our team about winning going in to the bye, and having the goal of winning coming out, so that's what we're focused on."
The Rattlers hope that focus pays off Saturday. Kickoff against the Aggies is set for 5:00.
