Tallahassee, FL--(WTXL) NFC just finished up the first week of spring football practice with new head coach Steve Price. He takes over for Robert Craft. Previously, Price was the defensive coordinator. He's been a head coach for more than twenty years in South Georgia and at Taylor County.

"The transition has been really good," Price said. "The kids have been great, the parents have been great, and the school has been great. It's been a really smooth transition. We haven't changed a whole lot. I've been here for four years and I'm very familiar with what we have done on offense and defense for four years and we are going to continue to do what we have done."

Price says NFC returns about eight starters on offense and defense. One of their goals during the spring is to find a new quarterback after last year's quarterback transferred to Chiles. Price believes football requires intensity.

"I think our school, our parents, and our kids they understand what intensity is and there certainly has not been any dropoff," Price said.
