CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Wakulla War Eagle football team is one win away from bringing home a State Championship. They face Bishop Moore on Friday in the Class 5A State Championship game, and like Wakulla, the Hornets are 13-1 on the season.

Wakulla is looking for their first State title since 1981, when they won their second of back to back. They finished State Runners-up in 2011, and on Thursday, the school and the community sent off the War Eagles with well wishes.

Head Coach Scott Klees has praised Wakulla County all year long, and said their support means everything.

"From the top of our administration all the way down to our fans, to our churches, everything," he said. "It's definitely a community thing, so we're going to go out there, we're going to do our best, and hopefully we'll bring the W home for our community."

"It makes us feel good that they're behind us and right there with us," agreed senior Kyle Weaver. "It's good to have a county that supports you with what you do."

Wakulla's date with Bishop Moore kicks off at 1:00 at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.
