TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - It was delayed a day, but the North Florida Christian baseball team made the wait worthwhile, as they sealed up a spot in the Class 3A Region 1 Final with their win over St. Joseph on Friday.
St. Joseph got lost heading to North Florida Christian on Thursday, hence the reason for pushing the game to Friday morning. The Eagles took the lead in the bottom of the third after Brandon Walker took a bases loaded walk, and they never looked back.
North Florida Christian added runs in the fifth and the sixth to seal up the 3-0 win. They will face Maclay in the Regional Final, with the winner advancing to Fort Myers and the State Final Four.
