TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida State outside hitter Katie Horton is the ACC Player of the Week, announced by the conference Monday.
A sophomore, Horton earned 36 kills in the Noles' three matches, helping push the team to an 11-0 record and a national ranking of sixth in the AVCA Poll.
"We are still learning a lot about our new additions," FSU head coach Chris Poole said. "Katie had a real breakout weekend and she continues to be a welcomed addition as a full-rotation passer."
The Seminoles begin ACC play Friday in Tully Gym against No. 12 North Carolina. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m., and it will be broadcast on ESPN3.
