WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WTXL) - After a 15-1 start to the season, Florida State women's basketball has disappointed since, losing five of their last six games. The most recent loss came Sunday afternoon, 78-54 to Wake Forest in Winston-Salem.
The Noles (15-6, 3-5) gave up 32 points to guard Chelsea Douglas, and ACC leading scorer Dearica Hamby added 22 as the Demon Deacons shot 50 percent from the field throughout the game.
FSU was led by senior forward Natasha Howard's 22 points and six rebounds. With that total in points, Howard moves into a tie with Jacinta Monroe for fifth-place on the Seminoles' career points list with 1,518.
Florida State returns home to face No. 2 Notre Dame Thursday, February 6 at 7:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
