TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - North Florida Christian's Cole Sands will compete in the 2014 Under Armour All-America Baseball Game powered by Baseball Factory, Saturday, August 16.
"A talented right-hander with three quality pitches, Cole impressed our staff at various Under Armour Team One Showcases," said Steve Bernhardt, Executive VP of Baseball at Baseball Factory and Chairman of the selection committee for the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game.
Cole's older brother, Carson Sands, played in the 2013 Under Armour All-America Baseball Game. Carson went on to be drafted in the fourth round of the 2014 MLB First Year Player Draft by the Chicago Cubs.
The Under Armour All-America Baseball Game is the final activity of a four-day event, including a home run derby and a formal workout for Major League scouts.
